
Making your own jewelry is limited only by your imagination, as you can see from the
jewelry pieces that are scattered about in the above color photo. On the right are
the blanks (plain shapes) that were used to create most of the jewelry.Many different
kinds of materials were used to make the jewelry from ceramic to porcelain to air dry and
oven baked clays. Probably some of the new liquid paper mache would also be great.
In the decorating we used glazes, underglazes, marbelizing, one strokes, stipples,
gold, silver, incising, cut-outs, decals and stains. Many were embellished with feathers,
chains, pearls, rhinestones, and rhinestone chains.
Many of the blanks could also be used to make buttons.
One of the tricks to making your jewelry "stay together" is to use a good
jewelry glue. We used two-part epoxy (fast drying) which is impossible to pull apart
when mixed and applied properly.
The Large Elephant Medallion is Mold #L-159 which retails for $15.00. The Unicorn
is Mold #L-172 - $15.00 retail. And the Lion is Mold #L-170 which also retails for
$15.00. These are great for medallions or coat pins
